Shri. N.AR. Nachiappa Chettiar and Shrimathi Meyyammai Aachi the creative powerhouse behind the vision had an exquisite taste for global quality products. Shri. N.AR. Nachiappa Chettiar's immense experience in trading by travelling to South East Asian countries and exposure to various global products, he intended to build his house with World Class products. However there were difficulties in procuring raw materials, they overcame by creative problem solving and indigenous approach.

Celestial Wedding of Goddess Meenakshi – Lord Sundareshwar
Yaali wooden statues around the outer wall of the house in a combination of Lion, Elephant and Horse, a symbol of Protection as in temples are made in a single piece of wood.
Depiction of Flower Iris – the Emblem of French Monarch is etched in the stained Glass over windows in the main hall. Also a symbol of H.H.Virgin Mary.
Fresco painting model from Greece and Italy is adopted above the 250+ windows portraying stories of Lord Krishna, Lord Murugan, Bhaktha Ramadass, an ardent devotee of Lord Rama and Nandhanar, elucidating equality to all human kinds.
Historical Events
On 12th May 1943, in the Main Hall, Tamil Isai Sangam, first in global was inaugurated by respectful Rajah Sir. M. Annamalai Chettiar attended by TKC (TK Chandrasekhar) and Kalki, renowned Tamil writers.

Nanjil Terur Mr.Kavimani Desiya Vinayagam Pillai, a great Tamil Poet was honored here by Raja Sir, he praised and honored the Poet with his Angavastram, mentioning it as ‘Ponnadai” – golden Cloth. Since then the practice of honoring the dignitaries with shawl is called ‘Ponnadai’. This act of honoring has become a tradition.

Smt M.S. Subbulakshmi, legendary singer, the Queen of Music Concert was performed in the main Hall of the building. Raja Sir praised the performance as ‘The Musical concert by Smt. M.S. Subbulakshmi is fit for the House. And the House is fit to have the Concert of the Smt.M.S.subbulakshmi.’
